Life Coaching for Women in Midlife
You've changed. Has your life changed with you?

I’m Melissa Del Gratta, a Midlife Identity Coach working with women at thresholds: those moments when something in your life no longer quite fits, but you can’t yet see clearly what comes next.
Maybe it’s your career. A relationship or friendship. Your creative life. Your priorities. Your definition of success. Or simply a growing sense that you want something different from the years ahead.
Midlife is full of thresholds
You may have spent years building a career, caring for other people, creating relationships, pursuing goals, and becoming very good at the roles you play. Then something changes.
Sometimes the change is obvious: divorce, burnout, loss, a career shift, children growing up. Sometimes it’s harder to name. Your life may look perfectly good from the outside, but you know it doesn’t fit in quite the same way anymore. The problem is that we often keep making choices from identities, expectations, and stories we’ve already begun to outgrow.
What do I actually want now?
What still feels like me?
What am I ready to leave behind?
Who might I be if I stop letting an old version of myself make every decision?
Get unstuck. Get clear. Start making different choices
Coaching gives you somewhere to examine what’s actually keeping you stuck: the stories, assumptions, loyalties, habits, and old identities that may still be shaping your choices.
Together, we can get clearer about what you want now, recognize what still belongs and what doesn’t, and turn that clarity into choices you can actually make in your career, relationships, creative life, and everyday life.
I won’t tell you what your next chapter should look like. You remain the expert on your own life, and my job is to help you hear that expert more clearly.
This might be you if...
You’ve outgrown a career, role, relationship, or version of yourself that once felt right.
You’ve spent years playing supporting roles, and you feel ready to become the main character in your own life.
Your definition of success has changed, and you’re trying to figure out what matters in its place.
You’re navigating a divorce, career shift, burnout, loss, or life transition that has you questioning who you are now.
For 15 years, I asked people questions for a living.
Before becoming a coach, I was a documentary director, producer, and interviewer. I traveled the world making films and spent hundreds of hours sitting across from people, listening closely, building trust, following unexpected threads, and learning that the first version of a story is rarely the whole story.
Then I reached a threshold of my own. My marriage ended. The film industry was upended. And I had to start asking questions I hadn't expected: What does success mean to me now? Where do I want my energy to go? What do I want my days to feel like? And who am I if I’m no longer certain I want the life I worked so hard to build?
I didn’t suddenly know what came next, but the questions led me to my next chapter as a midlife identity coach.
Today, I bring that same curiosity and attention to my coaching, particularly with creative women navigating thresholds of their own: moments when an old identity no longer quite fits, something new is asking for their attention, and they’re not yet sure what comes next.
Together, we get curious about the stories that brought them here, what they’re ready to leave behind, and how they want to move into what comes next.
